IPIO has primarily been designed for Security Applications although it can be used as a general I/O controller. IPIO can be used to send Notifications to a mobile phone based on an I/O event occurring. The event can be for example; a burglar alarm activation, a video analytics event, a PIR activation, a gate open or any other I/O event.
IPIO can also be used to cause an I/O event to happen based on a switch in the app. This can be used to open a gate, arm/disarm and alarm, silence an alarm bell, etc.
When the IPIO comes online a notification is sent to the app owners. If for any reason the IPIO goes offline a notification is sent to the app owners.
Gates and Roller Doors
IPIO works with Gates and Roller Doors allowing multiple people to securely access the gate or door. This is deal for managing access for employees and delivery agents. The logs enable the manager to see who opened the door and when.
IPIO works with video alarms (analytics and PIR) enabling arming and disarming of the system by use of the app. A complete record of arm/disarm event is created and stored in the app.
Intruder alarms are often set and monitored using a GSM phone dialler. IPIO offers similar monitoring and control as a phone dialler with an app based interface, no requirement for a SIM Card and with easy access to a full log of events.
Event Stream Processing
Type C IPIO units can be used to convert events in security camera and access control systems into in app notifications. The IPIO unit listens to the system event stream and based on rules converts critical events into notifications in real time.
IPIO can be used to monitor and control industrial and farm equipment. For example IPIO units are often used to monitor the status of industrial refrigerators.
